Guns, Marijuana, No High Like the Most High

Guns, Marijuana, No High Like the Most High

There is no high like the Most High. I am talking about the holy inebriation we receive when we have an encounter with the Most High God.

When I was young I enjoyed getting high. I would find opportunity with friends to get high. Later when I was older I would get drunk and I would find ways to drink with friends. I enjoyed the high. But there is no high like the Most High. You can not over dose on the Holy Ghost.  Now I look forward to experiencing the presence of God with friends. I enjoy the holy inebriation we can experience with a fresh encounter with Holy Spirit.

When we are in a heavenly embrace we have no desire to hurt or harm others. We desire to love and be loved. God is at work in the earth once again pouring His Spirit out in abundance to all who want more.

The Lord told me to whom much is given much is expected. He told me that when I was meditating on the condition of our nation. School shootings, mass murders, legalized drugs, calling that which is evil good and that which is good evil. The ways of Lord are being perverted and ridiculed but God is pouring out His Spirit on All Flesh just like He promised.

Today we have more opportunity to experience God than ever before and then when we do we can stay on fire by reading, and watching videos of all God is doing around the earth. We have in the palm of our hands a portal to the kingdom of God. Some have iportal some android portals but our personal devices link us to one another and to the wider body of Christ. But instead many waste their bandwidth on that which does not satisfy. Think about it.

We are in the last days. There is no doubt. The Apostle Peter declared, “But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” God started pouring out His Spirit on all flesh at Pentecost and He continues even today.

People are looking for answers and they are looking over and past the answer for healing in our land and the answer is Jesus. The answer is Holy Spirit. The answer is knowing Father, Daddy God.

We need to pray for the ones seeking happiness in relational dysfunction. We need to pray that they would have an encounter with Holy Spirit. Pray that they would know Jesus loves them and died for them. Pray that they would know God the Father want to tell them this is my beloved in whom I am well please.

No among of drugs, sex or perversion will bring the peace and happiness they seek. It is only found in a living loving relationship with the Living God. We can get blasted by God. We can get drunk on the Spirit of God. We can experience true love from the Father. It’s not about rules and regulations. It’s not about trying live up to some man made standard it about an encounter with the living God.

If the young man near Houston had a vital loving relationship with Jesus, He could not have perpetrated such a horrible crime. Killing those kids and teachers in Santa Fe high school. His dad could have owned a rack of guns and he would have never thought to use them because he would have known the love of Jesus. He would have felt the sanctity of live.

He may have had issues with his love life and maybe some kids would have picked on him but he would have had a relationship and peace with God that could have been a sustaining influence in his life when things began to make him feel overwhelmed. He could have spent time soaking in God’s presence instead of meditating on destruction.

“A relationship with the living Christ is what can save and change America.”

If people want to get high and wasted to escape their problems. Instead they could save their money and get high on Jesus. It’s free for us to enjoy His Holy Spirit who He so generously pours out for us. It’s not easy to break addictions but through programs that allow God to move in the lives of participants it is doable. To stay clean and sober they need Jesus to help them. They need a community of faith to pray with them and stand with them. They need a people who will pray in the power of the Holy Spirit anointed prophetic prayers that will penetrate and reveal the heart of the issue.

There would not be as many abortions if people were taught about the sexual abstinence and the sanctity of life. If there was unwanted pregnancies the answer would be a caring community who could help find adoptive parents for the baby.  Not a society who perpetrates a culture of death. Women are scarred more than just physically when they receive and abortion. There are emotional and spiritual scars than need an encounter with Jesus to heal. We are spirit soul and body and we need a holistic approach to healing life’s hurts.

Right now we are in a great Spiritual Awakening and Upheaval. God is pouring out His Spirit and He promises in His word Habakkuk 2:14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. This is the time for the knowledge of the glory of the Lord to be shared with everyone we know around us.

Zechariah 10:1 (NKJV)
10 Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds;
He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.

Ask for the rain of His presence in the time of the latter rain. This is the time of the Latter Rain. The glory of the latter house will be greater than the former. We need more of the Holy Spirit in our life, in our schools, in our government, in our hospitals, in our factories, in our coffee houses and in our families.

The Holy Spirit is so good for you. You can’t get too much of Him.” Melinda Fish from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and said it so well a few years ago when she said, “There are no toxic levels of the Holy Spirit.”  When you have an encounter with Him, you’ll never be the same again. So don’t be satisfied with just a little bit, with a half-measure of Him. And don’t be satisfied with what happened 20 years ago. This constantly being filled is a daily, refreshing encounter with the Holy Spirit” from Preparing for the the Glory John and Carol Arnott. We must have more. We must share His love with others.

That being said, it’s important to look back on those moments when our entire paradigm shifted and our lives changed forever. These moments serve as milestones, where we can look back and see what God has done in our lives.”  ibid.

The Power of Testimony
I don’t think we really understand the power of testimony. When a testimony is being shared there is movement in the spirit realm. Often sharing the testimony opens a door or window in the spirit for those hearing to experience the blessing shared in the testimony.

It could be an increase in the faith level of the hearer. It could be a similar spiritual encounter opens up for those who are listening and engaged. Maybe the testimony stirs faith to and boldness in the hearer to ask for more from God. Bill Johnson has said, “testimony is an invitation from God.”

One reason we share testimonies is to give Glory to God for what He has done in our life. We all have a testimony to share. Are we robbing others around us of a blessing by not sharing it? Are we robbing God of the Glory due to His name by not sharing it?

I have been sharing as much about all God is doing as often as I can because I want others to know God is alive and well. He is active and moving in the earth. The enemy wants people to think God is far off and does not care about them. The truth is God is eminent and desires for people to turn to Him. He will show Himself strong on their behalf.

People are worried and desperate. They see chaos and destruction on the world stage. The media loves to share bad news. But God has given us this treasure in earthen vessels. His precious Spirit at work in us and through us in the earth. The answer to gun violence in school is a living relationship with Jesus Christ. The answer to wars and rumors of wars is Jesus Christ. The answer to the abortion issue is Jesus. The answer to the legalization of marijuana, alcohol and drug addiction is Jesus. Jesus is the answer. His powerful Spirit at work in the hearts of man is what can save this planet, not Al Gore and an inconvenient truth. Causes come and go but Jesus remains forever. He is, He was and He will be.

I know the power of the Spirit of Christ at work within the church has been marginalized by society but more and more I see the church and more exact the Living Christ within the church as the answer to the troubles in the world. We still need social programs but they should be governed and administrated by godly devote Christians who see it as their ministry. Can you imagine a world where everyone is in love with Jesus and actively pursue living and live that pleases God? I can and I pray for His kingdom to come. His will to be done on the earth as it is in heaven.

One thing we can do to help change our world is to share our testimony this week with someone, with everyone. Invite them to taste and see that the Lord is good. Pray for them or bring them to church if they need the oil of the Spirit. Jesus said, “I came to give life and to give it in abundance.” Share that abundant life of Christ with others.
